Flagship offering
Independent
BESS Assurance.
An independent view of battery condition, connected systems and contractual performance — so the owner can act on evidence, not on the supplier's word.
Owner-sideOEM-agnosticLifecycle assurance
Three assurance modules. One owner view.
Specialist evidence, independent judgement, owner decisions.
Performance & Warranty
Capacity, degradation and contractual evidence — so shortfalls are found, prioritised and claimed before deadlines pass.
Safety Risk
Emerging anomalies and investigation priorities — directing attention to the findings that matter.
Cybersecurity & Resilience
Access, connected systems and operational exposure — across every boundary a remote session can touch.
Battery intelligence and technical assessments
Findings assessed against the asset and the owner's obligations
Priorities, supplier follow-up and verified actions
BESS system
One battery. Seven digital boundaries.
We assess the connected chain, from cell chemistry to AI diagnostics, and lead the agreed interfaces, configuration and assurance scope.
Gamma Grid assurance boundary
Boundary 01 / 07 · Battery physics
Cells
The electrochemistry that stores energy. Capacity fade, cell imbalance and thermal behaviour start here.
The owner's question
“Is usable capacity degrading faster than the warranty allows?”
Evidence Gamma assembles
- State-of-health trends
- Capacity test results
- Degradation vs. warranty curve
Assurance module
Who leads here
OEM The OEM controls hardware, firmware and device settings; Gamma assesses the evidence independently.
Boundary 02 / 07 · Control + protection
BMS
Monitors every cell, balances the pack, estimates state of charge and health, and trips protection when limits are crossed.
The owner's question
“Can the owner trust the BMS estimates, and are protection limits set correctly?”
Evidence Gamma assembles
- SOC / SOH estimation accuracy
- Protection settings review
- Alarm and trip history
Assurance module
Who leads here
OEM The OEM controls hardware, firmware and device settings; Gamma assesses the evidence independently.
Boundary 03 / 07 · Power conversion
PCS
Converts DC battery power to and from AC for the grid. Efficiency, availability and thermal limits live here.
The owner's question
“Where is round-trip efficiency being lost, and why?”
Evidence Gamma assembles
- Round-trip efficiency analysis
- Inverter availability
- Thermal and derating events
Assurance module
Who leads here
OEM The OEM controls hardware, firmware and device settings; Gamma assesses the evidence independently.
Boundary 04 / 07 · Plant control
PPC / EMS
Coordinates plant output against grid and market requirements: dispatch, state-of-charge windows and ramp rates.
The owner's question
“Is the plant being operated inside the conditions the warranty assumes?”
Evidence Gamma assembles
- Dispatch vs. warranty conditions
- SOC window and C-rate usage
- Grid-code response
Assurance module
Who leads here
Gamma Gamma leads the assessment, interfaces, configuration and owner evidence at this boundary.
Boundary 05 / 07 · Operations
SCADA
Real-time monitoring and command for operators, and often for remote vendors too.
The owner's question
“Who can issue commands to this asset, from where, and is it recorded?”
Evidence Gamma assembles
- Remote-access and privilege review
- Segmentation and zone mapping
- Alarm handling
Assurance module
Who leads here
Gamma Gamma leads the assessment, interfaces, configuration and owner evidence at this boundary.
Boundary 06 / 07 · Edge · cloud · residency
Data
Telemetry flowing from site to historian, cloud and analytics, sometimes outside the owner's jurisdiction.
The owner's question
“Does the owner hold complete, usable data, and control where it is processed?”
Evidence Gamma assembles
- Data-path and residency map
- Data completeness and quality
- Contractual data-access rights
Assurance module
Who leads here
Gamma Gamma leads the assessment, interfaces, configuration and owner evidence at this boundary.
Boundary 07 / 07 · Diagnosis + forecast
AI
Models that detect anomalies, estimate remaining life and forecast output. Useful only when traceable.
The owner's question
“Can every recommendation be traced to its data, with a human approving action?”
Evidence Gamma assembles
- Model provenance and confidence
- Drift monitoring
- Human-approval controls
Assurance module
Who leads here
Partner Specialist partners supply battery models and IP; Gamma governs how findings reach owner decisions.

Customer value
Where the return on assurance comes from.
Value is verified against the owner's baseline and the full cost of assurance. Each benefit is counted once.
Recover operating value
Usable energy and availability create more earning capacity.
Protect contracted value
Performance evidence supports action before contract deadlines.
Plan asset life
Degradation evidence informs maintenance and augmentation.
Reduce avoidable losses
Traceable findings support warranty claims and risk-led action.
Scale the asset team
Shared tasks and reporting reduce repeat investigation.
Support insurance reviews
Condition and control evidence supports risk assessment.
Questions
BESS assurance, answered.
What is independent BESS assurance?
An owner-side, OEM-agnostic assessment of a battery energy storage system covering performance and warranty, safety risk, and cybersecurity and resilience. It connects specialist battery evidence to the decisions the owner has to make.
Is Gamma Grid tied to a battery manufacturer?
No. We work on the owner's side and are OEM-agnostic. The OEM remains responsible for hardware, firmware and device control; we assess the evidence independently.
When in the asset lifecycle should assurance start?
Ideally at requirements and procurement, when data access, controls and acceptance criteria can still be written into contracts. We also assure assets already in operation.
What does the owner receive?
Prioritised findings, documented evidence for supplier and warranty follow-up, and actions tracked to closure — delivered into the owner's existing reporting and maintenance workflow.
